Region Choir Audition:
Participants will prepare two pieces on their own as well as with their director during scheduled rehearsals before and after school. Notes and rhythms are expected to be correct and precise. Also, students that make this choir with ease have studied and perform all markings correctly and sing these pieces musically. This is a blind audition. This means that the audition will occur anonymously behind a curtain to conceal the identity of the student to the group of judges. The judges will evaluate the student's level of preparation and musicality as well as evaluate them on sight reading skills. Participants will then be given a score and ranked in order with the top singers in each voice part (Sop 1, Sop 2, Alto, Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Bass) moving on to participate in this year's Region Choir Clinic and Concert Day.
